Dear Peter,
There is a "merry-go-round" structure to the layout here; the contents seem to be revolving along the central bottom edge.
I am reminded of Matisse's Dance...

The big difference is the scope of attention that you bring into play here. Matisse used just figure forms on the beach and fauvist colors. You have brought a BROAD collection of your observations, perhaps simultaneous occurences, into play. This world is at play, in flux. One prominent figure looks out at a universe of shapes, emotions and inner relationships, relationships that help prop up and balance this world. Matisse's "Dance" is thought to be a key point in his development of modern painting (wikipedia ref. above). I would say that if you and Henri had a chat he might say that you have taken the development of modern painting a step forward with the inclusion and embrace of our relationship to inanimate objects and how they have captured our imaginary ( which is very very "real"). There is a wonderful spinning of delight here... hey, did you hear that?!!!!!!!!!
